Overhead Movable Scaffolding System

The Overhead Movable Scaffolding System (OHMSS) is developed for the span-by-span construction of concrete bridge decks, including box-girder cross-sections.

Its main load-bearing structure is positioned above the bridge deck, with the formwork and platforms suspended below. The virtual tour presents the complete system—from the main girders and launching noses to the pier supports, formwork and working areas.

It provides a clear overview of how the equipment transfers construction loads, supports a bridge span during concreting and advances to the next span.

Overhead Form Traveller

The Overhead Form Traveller (OFT) is used for the balanced-cantilever construction of concrete box-girder bridges.

As segments are constructed progressively from each pier, the traveller supports the formwork and fresh concrete. Its main structural frames are positioned above the bridge deck.

The tour focuses on the relationship between the overhead structure, suspension system and segment formwork. Integrated animations help explain how individual components are positioned and how the traveller advances during the construction cycle.

Underslung Form Traveller

The Underslung Form Traveller (UFT) applies the balanced-cantilever method with its main supporting structure arranged primarily below the bridge deck.

Its virtual tour offers valuable views from beneath and inside the working system. Visitors can examine the underslung girders, platforms, formwork and access arrangements while seeing how the equipment surrounds and supports the segment under construction.
